From beginner to advanced instruction, students can explore acting, singing, band, trumpet, drums, clarinet, violin, dancing, ballet, digital music, jazz, painting, drawing, photography, and video & filmmaking. Our programs provide a safe, supportive space where young people can build skills, confidence, and lasting friendships.

Hope For Youth and Families

Hope for Youth & Families is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of youth and families in Springfield, Massachusetts through enrichment, college & career counseling, the arts, and additional programs that fill gaps in existing youth services.

Our vision is to create a world where every young person has access to the resources and support they need to thrive. We believe that by investing in our youth, we can create a better future for all of us.

Hope for Youth and Families offers Springfield youth free programs in the arts, literacy, and college access. Our overall goal is to help people break the cycle of poverty.

Hope for Youth and Families is a nonprofit organization dedicated to opening doors of opportunity for young people in Springfield. Through free, high-quality programs, we provide Springfield youth with the resources to learn, explore, and build brighter futures.

Our work spans the arts, literacy, and college readiness, creating pathways that empower young people to discover their potential and pursue their dreams. At the heart of our work is a commitment to equity—removing barriers so that cost is never an obstacle to participation.

Our Programs

Springfield’s new hub for creativity, the HOPE Center for the Arts offers free after-school programs in dance, theater, music, photography, creative writing, and more. Young people learn alongside professional teaching artists in a state-of-the-art performing arts center, building skills, confidence, and community.

This initiative supports literacy through programs designed for striving readers in middle and high school. Using engaging, research and evidence-based methods, the program helps students build critical reading skills while fostering a lifelong love of learning and raising their grade-level reading skills.

This multi-faceted program supports high school students who are committed to earning a four-year college or university degree. It provides a comprehensive, personalized approach to college preparation—helping students build the academic, personal, and professional skills needed for long-term success.
